About

CRYSTAL PEREA (passionate and travel-sized) prefers the work of Shania over Mark Twain. She is a Latina, lesbian writer living in Los Angeles. She earned a BFA in character animation from Laguna College of Art and Design, where she wrote a stop-motion short film that screened and garnered awards at the Beverly Hills, Burbank, and Oceanside Film Festivals. Since 2017, she has worked as a storyboard artist and revisionist at 20th TV Animation on American Dad and Family Guy. Her pilot “Not Faire,” was a 2022 Mentorship Matters’ finalist, a 2022 Outfest Screenwriting Lab sem-finalist, a WeScreenplay Diverse Voices quarter-finalist, and a Second Rounder at Austin Film Festival and in consideration for the semi-finals. She is driven to create stories that are authentic and can put her passion into. She loves the solution seeking involved in writing and all the possibilities and limitations that come with it. In her free time you can catch her at the gym, taking a class to learn something new, and playing beach volleyball.
